Morning yoga on the deck is quickly becoming one of my very favorite things. I have been a fan of yoga for a long time, but have never worked it into my life on anywhere near the regular basis I am right now. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Not only is it a gentle way to get really strong, but if you can practice it in a spot you really love (the way I love the view from this deck), I think it has double the positive benefits.
If you pass my house this week and really pay attention, you might notice that it is turning to summer - everywhere except on my front porch. There, it is still spring. Here's why: A mama bird has chosen the top of one of my spring door wreaths as the perfect spot to hide her babies-to-be. She tends them faithfully. Even though it doesn't make for the most cohesive look around here, as far as I am concerned, the front porch can wait for summer until she launches them into the world. We mamas need to help each other out - every chance we get. ;)
